3-Alarm fire in Crystal Lake, 11-3-15

A single-family home in unincorporated Crystal Lake caught fire early this morning, resulting in one person being injured. Firefighters responded just after 6:30 a.m. to the scene at 6015 Blue Court, where they found the house fully engulfed in flames.

A resident was treated on-site and later transported to a local hospital with undisclosed injuries. Fortunately, no firefighters were reported injured during the incident. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire, which is believed to be a major blaze that required a 3-alarm response. The estimated damage to the home and its contents has reached $300,000.
