I reached out to Deputy Chief Steven Gorsky of the Darien-Woodridge Fire District to get details about the new 2016 Pierce Impel engine that will replace the current 2001 E-One Cyclone II, which has been operating as Engine 90. Hereâ€™s a summary of what I learned about the new unit.
