The Algonquin-Lake In The Hills Fire Protection District serves a growing community and is part of both MABAS Division 2 and MABAS Division 5. Their operations are based out of three stations, with the main headquarters located in Lake In The Hills on Algonquin Road. Recently, they've made some exciting upgrades to their fleet. They received two new units from Ferrara: an MVP pumper mounted on an Igniter chassis and a rear-mount tower ladder on an Inferno chassis. In addition, they've added two brand-new Medtec ambulances built on Freightliner M2106 Business Class chassis. The department also has a pair of KME Predator rescue pumpers that serve as their frontline engines. While the full list of equipment is still being updated, more photos should be coming soon. This modernization reflects their commitment to providing top-notch emergency services to the residents of the area.
