Four people were injured in a serious three-car collision that occurred Friday night near 21661 N. Milwaukee Avenue in Lincolnshire. According to local police, a vehicle was seen speeding southbound in the northbound lanes, leading to a devastating crash involving two other cars. One of the passengers had to be rescued from the wreckage by emergency responders. Lincolnshire Fire Department and all available ambulances were on the scene, with Long Grove Fire Department also dispatched as a backup.

Photographers Larry Shapiro and Tim Olk arrived at the scene but found the injured already transported to nearby hospitals. The Chicago Tribune reported that a reckless driver was involved, with police receiving multiple calls about a high-speed vehicle around 8:50 p.m. The driver of a Honda CRV reportedly hit street signs on Half Day Road before heading south on Milwaukee Avenue. At one point, the CRV passed a Lincolnshire police officer at high speed before colliding with a Toyota and a Jeep. One individual is currently in critical condition with life-threatening injuries.
