1. Product Description

   Air separation plant employs a process in which air is purified by molecular sieve and refrigerated by boosting turbine expander; fractionating column is sieve trays column.

      The feed air sucked through air intake is cleaned of dust and other mechanical impurities in air filter AF and then compressed to a pressure by air compressor. The compressed air flows into air precooling system for temperature to be reduced.


2.Air separation plant flow description:

The proposed Air Separation Plant employs a process in which air is purified by molecular sieve at normal temperature, and booster expansion turbine is used to produce refrigerating capacity. The feed air sucked through air intake is cleaned of dust and other mechanical impurities in air filter AF and compressed to a pressure by air compressor. The compressed air flows into air precooling system for being cooled. The air comes from the air precooling system with temperature reduced to saturated state flows into switched molecular sieve adsorber.

        The purified air is divided into three streams: one stream is fed out to be instrument air; another stream enters main heat exchanger to be cooled to the saturated temperature by reflux gas and then enters lower column; the rest, of which its content is similar with swelling capacity, enters booster to be boosted, and then enters main heat exchanger after it is cooled, then it is fed out of the middle portion and fed into expander, the expanded air is fed into lower column. Following preliminary rectification in lower column, the liquid air is obtained from the bottom of lower column and the liquid nitrogen is obtained from the top. Liquid air and liquid nitrogen drawn from lower column enter liquid air/liquid nitrogen subcooler to be subcooled and then it is fed into relevant position of upper column. Following further rectification, liquid oxygen is obtained. The waste nitrogen gas obtained at the top of upper column is fed out of cold box after it is subcooled in subcooler and re-warmed in main heat exchanger. Then it is discharged after meeting the need as the gas for regeneration of molecular sieve first.
