SKF wins Mannuka wheel hub bearing unit supply contract

On August 24, 2015, the Swedish bearing manufacturer SKF issued a statement saying that it has signed a supply contract with the Volkswagen Group's Mann, which will supply the hub's truck with hub bearing units.

The two parties signed a three-year contract with a total value of 60 million Swedish kronor (about 7.25 million U.S. dollars). SKF supplies Mann with mainly wheel-end units for the truck wheels. Delivery time is set for September.

SKF said that the truck wheel end bearing units supplied to Mann are easier to install, lower cost, and have longer maintenance intervals than regular cone rollers.

Stephane Le Mounier, president of the SKF Automotive Group, said that the signing of the supply contract with Mann will further deepen cooperation with the Volkswagen Group's heavy truck department, strengthen the synergy between Mann and Scania, and provide customers with more. Good solution.

Prior to this, SKF had signed a three-year supply contract with Scania, supplying products including truck wheels and bearings required for transmission. Since this year, SKF has successively obtained the bearing supply contracts for Fiat, Volvo Cars and Volkswagen brands.
