This is from Mike Lopina: Members from the Northwest Homer Fire District responded to a working house fire early Thursday morning around 0630 at 16307 W 146th Pl in Lockport Heights. Upon arrival, firefighters found heavy fire spreading through the second floor and the rear of the home. Auto aid units brought a Lockport engine and a Lemont tower ladder, while the full response included engines from Orland and Homer, ambulances from Plainfield and Mokena, and a Lemont Battalion Chief. Firefighters deployed two lines on the fire, and the tower ladder unit worked on the roof and eaves.
