Foreign companies can also bid

The newly added 1,100 taxis will be tendered nationwide for the first time, which means that qualified foreign companies can also bid. As long as the bidding company registers and establishes an operating company in Wuhan and has other relevant conditions, it can participate in the bidding.

The reporter learned from the Wuhan Tourist Office that the tender will be specifically responsible for qualified third-party agencies. The members of the bid evaluation committee were randomly selected from the expert database.

"Car rental" electronic payment

The newly added taxi capacity includes 100 "car rentals". This is the first time that Wuhan has put "about rental car" into taxi operations. The “about car rental” is no longer a method for passengers to get in and out, and requires the public to make an appointment by making a call or other means. In addition, passengers pay their fares through electronic payments.

According to the relevant person in charge of the Wuhan Passenger Management Department, the "about car rental" model is high-end and comfortable, and the main target passengers are those who just need a car race, mainly "emergency car" and "business person". The newly added 1,100 taxis will be fully implemented with "corporate management and staff management." Drivers sign labor contracts with operating companies and become employees of the company.
