2-Alarm house fire in Lake Geneva, WI, 1-19-16

Excerpts from Fox6now.com:

On Tuesday, January 19th, emergency responders were called to a serious fire at a home near South and Elm Streets in Lake Geneva just after 11:30 a.m. The house was already fully engulfed when firefighters and police arrived on the scene.

Four people who were downstairs managed to escape safely. However, two adults and a baby were trapped upstairs. They managed to crawl onto the roof and toss the baby down to a waiting police officer. A neighbor found a ladder to help the adults descend, but the ladder collapsed, causing one of the women to fall.

Despite the chaos, all involved were eventually rescued and taken to the hospital for evaluation. The fire is still under investigation, and no fatalities have been reported so far.
