Offshore wind power market capacity is limited
At present, domestic manufacturers have locked the focus of large-scale wind power equipment on units with a single unit capacity of 5 MW or 6 MW, and the application fields are aimed at offshore wind power. Along with the rising tide of offshore wind power development since last year, equipment manufacturers trapped in the "price" war of land-based wind power have begun to study offshore wind turbine technology in an attempt to open up new battlefields by occupying the forefront of technology and taking the lead.
According to a person in charge of the domestic wind power private enterprise representative Yinhe Evandis, from the investment cost of the wind farm, although the large-scale offshore wind turbine will increase the unit procurement cost by 10%, it can save more than 15% of the equipment maintenance cost. The total investment cost will be reduced by more than 5%. Large wind turbines installed in onshore wind farms are subject to transportation conditions, and each unit will increase investment costs by at least 5%. He believes that from the economic point of view, onshore wind turbines do not need large-scale wind turbines.
However, the person in charge told reporters that the large-scale wind power equipment is not suitable for development at sea and on land. Due to the reduction in the number of wind farm installation units and the low labor and financial resources of equipment maintenance, large capacity fans are more suitable for the sea. In addition, although large-scale development is suitable for offshore wind power development needs, according to the national “Twelfth Five-Year Plan”, the installed capacity of domestic offshore wind power in the next five years will be about 5 million kilowatts, accounting for only 5% of all installed capacity, which can be mobilized. The market space is also very limited.

The matching parts can't keep up with the whole machine

It is not possible to simply amplify the existing onshore wind turbines on a single unit capacity, but must re-customize from the original concept design. . This phenomenon has been widespread in the domestic offshore wind power research and development field in recent years, which has caused great doubts about the quality of offshore wind turbines currently developed in China.
As enterprises pursue large-scale wind turbines, the more realistic problems than “land-based oceanization” are placed in front of enterprises, that is, the unit capacity upgrade is easy, but it is difficult to escape the constraints of parts such as blades, motors and control systems. .
The above-mentioned business person told reporters that the blade with the largest proportion of the unit cost is taken as an example. Although many domestic manufacturers have the ability to produce blades with a diameter of more than 100 meters, the diameter of the blades produced in batches is only 70 meters. The same is true in the international arena. The diameter of a 6 MW offshore wind turbine needs to be between 110 and 120 meters, and the gap between them is not offset overnight. “It is estimated that within two years, it is difficult to find a manufacturer that can produce blades of 110 meters or more in volume. Even if it has the ability to produce, it is difficult for blade suppliers to recover the cost due to limited demand, and thus it is unwilling to support the whole machine.”
A person in charge of a large domestic blade manufacturer told reporters on the phone that the company is still mainly producing megawatt wind turbine blades. The future is optimistic about the market prospect of 3 MW wind turbine blades. Currently, the industrial layout in this field is in the field. For the focus, whether to invest in 6 MW blade development needs to wait and see.
