Just wanted to share some updates on the new TRT (Turn Reckless Team?) for Naperville that was mentioned earlier. It looks like it’s finally here! If you’re into fire trucks or squad vehicles, these images are definitely worth checking out.
Speaking of which, I came across this awesome piece from LDV USA. They recently built a specialized equipment vehicle for the City of Naperville in Illinois. This thing is a beast! It’s based on a Freightliner M2 106 conventional cab chassis with a fully customized aluminum body designed and crafted by LDV themselves. One of the standout features is the auto-open/close rear liftgate, which makes loading and unloading gear a breeze. And the integrated emergency and scene lighting? Pure functionality meets aesthetics.
To top it off, they’ve included a three-camera rearview system to help with those tricky parking situations. For communication purposes, they prewired the truck for radio installations, and there’s even a custom center console to keep all the electronics organized. Storage-wise, this vehicle has six roll-up exterior compartments with heavy-duty slide-out trays for gear. There’s also a vertical compartment designed specifically for storing customer-installed shoring struts and tubing. Oh, and let’s not forget the six pull-out platforms that give easy access to the upper storage shelves—practicality at its finest!
