On May 26th, 2011, the Changchun Automobile Parts Laboratory, a subsidiary of SGS Standards Technical Service Co., Ltd., a leading global inspection, appraisal, testing and certification organization, was officially put into operation at the Special Vehicle Park Productivity Promotion Center in Changchun Economic and Technological Development Zone.

The newly completed laboratory will be based in Changchun, radiating three provinces in Northeast China, and serving North China at the same time, to provide professional world-class auto parts testing services for vehicles and parts companies in the region.

The completion of the SGS Changchun Auto Parts Laboratory will enable auto companies in the Northeast and North China regions to conduct tests nearby, shorten the test period and reduce the cost of testing. At the same time, SGS can also use its international leading technology and rich industry experience to help these companies improve their technical indicators and product quality, and provide important technical support for Changchun to build a world-class automotive industry base.

The total investment of SGS Changchun Auto Parts Laboratory in the first phase is 10 million yuan, covering an area of ​​2,500 square meters. It mainly covers the physical and aging tests of automotive materials and coatings, environmental simulation and reliability tests of automotive components, and durable life tests of automotive components. Applicable products include automotive vehicles, automotive interior and exterior trims, automotive electronics and automotive chassis components. The laboratory has 78 cubic meters of complete vehicle environmental test box, with 8 tons of thrust, 8 cubic meters of environmental warehouse, lighting simulation of the four comprehensive vibration test bench, and also includes a large span universal testing machine, dynamic fatigue system, salt spray, ozone, full Spectral illumination, dustproof, waterproof and other environmental simulation equipment can fully meet the test requirements of automotive components. It is reported that the second phase of the laboratory investment is already in the planning.
