Telit 2011 further expands smart metering business

Telit is a world-class M2M wireless communications company that entered the Chinese market earlier. Its 2011 China strategy report shows that Telit will further expand its smart metering business in the Chinese market in 2011.

With the global economy picking up and various countries around the world responding to low-carbon emissions initiatives, smart meters have become increasingly important. It is understood that currently there are 1.4 billion meters in the world, and less than 10% of meters are called smart meters, or they are interconnected and connected. The Chinese government's proposal to develop low-carbon technologies and strengthen smart grid construction has brought new opportunities for the development of M2M.

Telit now not only provides GSM/GPRS modules for several of China's largest remote meter manufacturers, but also provides CDMA/WCDMA module products for the Chinese market to meet the company's M2M application, and is the second largest supplier in the market.

The rapid development of smart meters is no doubt that Telit valued the domestic smart meter market and wanted to become the largest wireless module supplier in the domestic market.
