At approximately 15:45 on August 6, 2016, there was a fully involved tractor-trailer fire in the 400 block of North Avenue in Carol Stream. The scene was intense, and the fire had already been knocked down when I arrived. Fire companies on the scene included Carol Stream Engine 29, Squad 27, Tower 28, Battalion 28, and District Chief 28. Wheaton Medic 37 also responded to assist with medical support.

The fire was significant, and it's clear that multiple units were involved in the response. It’s always impressive to see how quickly the crews react and work together under pressure. These photos give a good visual of the scene and the efforts made by the firefighters. If you're interested, you can view more images from the event in the gallery above.
