Wind power industry will receive government support

On January 6, the National Energy Work Conference held in Beijing targeted the hydropower, nuclear power, wind power and solar energy in clean energy. The National Energy Administration said it will actively develop wind power. We will promote the construction of large-scale wind power bases in an orderly manner, and focus on the development of wind power bases of 10 million kilowatts in Inner Mongolia, Gansu, Xinjiang, Hebei, Jiangsu, Shandong, Jilin, and Northeast China. Accelerate the development of offshore wind power, make great efforts to solve the problem of connecting wind power to the power grid and the market, and pay attention to local transformation; support the development of large-scale wind power companies, increase industrial concentration, and encourage China's wind power companies and wind power equipment to “go out”. For the solar energy industry, the Energy Bureau stated that it will build a number of large-scale grid-connected photovoltaic demonstration power stations in regions with abundant solar energy resources, deserts, and barren land resources. In addition, the photovoltaic industry will also be nurtured into China's advanced equipment manufacturing and emerging energy pillar industries.
