Chicago firefighters responded to a fire in the basement of a two-story bungalow at 906 N. Trumbull this morning. The blaze quickly spread through the entire house before crews managed to bring it under control. Tim Olk was on-site and captured several powerful images of the incident.
According to a report from *The Chicago Tribune*:
"One person suffered minor injuries, and nine others were displaced after a fire broke out this morning in a building located in the Humboldt Park neighborhood on the city’s West Side. Firefighters were called around 8:45 a.m. to the two-story structure at 906 N. Trumbull Ave., as per fire department records. Officials stated that approximately 12 people lived in the building, with one sustaining minor injuries. A working smoke detector alerted the residents, allowing all 12 to safely evacuate."
Tim Olk documented the scene with a series of striking photographs. The images show firefighters working hard to contain the flames and rescue those trapped inside.
