Chicago firefighters responded to a fire in the basement of a two-story bungalow at 906 N. Trumbull this morning. The blaze quickly spread throughout the home before crews managed to bring it under control. Tim Olk was on the scene and captured several powerful images of the incident.
According to a report from *The Chicago Tribune*, one person suffered minor injuries, and nine others were displaced following the fire in the Humboldt Park neighborhood on the city’s West Side. Firefighters arrived around 8:45 a.m. at the address, where approximately 12 people lived. A working smoke alarm helped alert residents, allowing all of them to safely evacuate.
The fire started in the basement and quickly escalated, forcing firefighters to work aggressively to contain the flames. Multiple units were dispatched to the scene, with crews working from both inside and outside the structure. Tim Olk documented the intense efforts, capturing moments of firefighters battling the fire and securing the area.
