Experts believe that China's auto parts industry will have great development within five years

The Auto Parts Sourcing Fair sponsored by the Shanghai International Purchase Center was held on May 12 at the Shanghai Automobile Exhibition Center. At the following seminar on the theme of "China's auto parts industry development prospects", Cai Yiyang, an industry expert, said that China's auto parts industry will have great development within five years.

Last year, the global financial crisis had a significant impact on the automotive industry, but according to Cai Yiyang’s survey, most of the domestic auto parts exporters have increased their exports to North America. “This is mainly due to the large base of the North American stock car market and the developed used car market for maintenance. The demand for parts has not dropped significantly."

However, with the rise of similar industries in South American countries such as Brazil, the cost advantage of manufacturing in China is no longer. At the same time, the improvement of quality standards and certification are becoming more and more complex, and it also creates a lot of non-trade barriers for the export of enterprises. For domestic auto parts industry Foreign trade companies, competitive pressures are not small.

Cai Yiyang said: "In the domestic market, new car sales are in the ascendant. Five years later, with the increasing number of domestic cars, the auto parts industry will have great development, and the entire market will reach around 200 billion yuan."

Professor Martin Locke-Doom of China Europe International Business School also believes that China has become the world's largest auto market. Major auto giants have come to China to compete for market share. "So under such circumstances, how to implement localization strategies? The establishment of a stable and cooperative relationship with Chinese domestic suppliers has become an urgent issue for the auto giants to enter the Chinese market.”

Lao Jianying, representative of the Shanghai Swedish Trade Commission, said: As a representative of the purchaser, he hopes that Chinese suppliers can provide products with stable quality; at the same time, suppliers should also have a high sense of social responsibility. It is reported that in order to help Chinese suppliers provide relevant literacy, a three-year supplier development plan has been planned.

This time, a total of seven internationally renowned buyers including Volvo and more than 80 Chinese suppliers participated in the trade fair. Through prior matching, the proportion of purchasers negotiating reached more than one-fifteen, thus ensuring a more efficient negotiation. More targeted.
