Wenchuan will build a remote industrial park

The reporter recently learned from the Sichuan Economic Commission that Wenchuan County will jointly build Guangdong Wenchuan Industrial Park with the aid-building province of Guangdong Province and use this as an opportunity to realize the industrial transformation of Wenchuan County after the disaster. This will also end Aba’s history of not having an industrial park.
Wenchuan County is an industrial base of the Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture. It concentrates more than 70% of the industrial enterprises in the entire province, and mainly mines and chemical industries. However, these enterprises were all affected by the earthquake, and the Aba Aluminum Plant was the hardest hit.
Guangdong Wenchuan Industrial Park will mainly undertake the transfer of advantageous industries in Guangdong or other coastal areas and the development of existing industrial downstream products in Wenchuan to extend the industrial chain. The industrial park will adopt a different way of construction. It will be selected in Jintang County, Sichuan Province. It will cover an area of 4.5 square kilometers, and it will be able to enter 80 companies. The industrial park will have strict conditions for entering the enterprises, must meet environmental protection requirements, and have strong profitability.
The industrial positioning of Wenchuan Industrial Park in Guangdong will focus on non-ferrous metal deep processing, deep processing of agricultural and sideline products, pharmaceuticals, light industry, electronics and other industries, and fully develop high-tech, environmental protection, and efficiency-enhancing circular economy industrial clusters. After completion, it will achieve an annual industrial sales income of 5 billion yuan, and an annual industrial added value of 1.5 billion yuan. Zhang Tongrong, executive deputy county governor of the county, said that Wenchuan County will use the establishment of an industrial park to achieve industrial transformation.
