Improvement of the heat balance system of Yutong Heavy Industry GJT112 wheel dozer

On January 11th, the "GJT112 Wheel Dozer Heat Balance Improvement Appraisal Meeting" held at the Zhengzhou Fuyang Hotel made headlines. Yutong Heavy Industry Co., Ltd.'s "GJT112 Wheel Type Bulldozer Heat Balance System Improvement" project was recognized for its innovative design, advanced technology, and stable performance. The system is reliable, with key performance metrics reaching the domestic leading level in similar products. It offers significant military and economic benefits, enhancing the application prospects of the equipment. The project successfully passed the expert review by representatives from multiple organizations, including the General Assembly Department of Land and Equipment, the General Armament Department, the Engineering and Military Bureau, the Institute of Engineering and Technology at Polytechnic University, the General Assembly Engineering Research Institute II, the Beijing Military Region Command Engineering Research and Design Institute, the Jinan Military Region Command Engineering Research and Design Institute, Tsinghua University, and Guangdong Dahua Rensheng Technology Co., Ltd. The GJT112 wheel-type bulldozer, developed by Yutong in 2003, was introduced into military service. To enhance the machine's maneuverability and improve its adaptability to high-altitude environments, the product development department initiated a heat balance system improvement project starting in October 2003. After two years of research and development, the traditional engine-driven fan system was upgraded to an independent closed-loop electronically controlled hydraulic motor-driven system. This new system can automatically adjust the fan speed based on the temperature of the torque converter oil, working device hydraulic oil, engine coolant, and air volume changes. As a result, the overall thermal balance of the machine is maintained within the optimal temperature range, offering excellent heat dissipation and energy efficiency. This improvement significantly enhances the machine’s performance in high-altitude conditions. Throughout its operation, the GJT112 has been highly praised by engineering troops for its strong mobility, lightness, flexibility, and reliability. The improved heat management system not only improves operational efficiency but also reduces fuel consumption, making it a valuable asset for military operations in challenging environments.
