Shangyu introduces large grain dryer
Shangyu City Dragon Food Production Co., Ltd. has made a significant investment by spending over 220,000 yuan to introduce the city's first large-scale 60-ton grain dryer. This advanced machine is designed to handle a massive daily capacity of 60 tons of grain, significantly improving the efficiency of the drying process. What makes this dryer unique is its ability to use crop stalks and grain bran as fuel, consuming about 3 tons of biomass per day. This not only reduces dependency on traditional energy sources but also helps manage agricultural waste more effectively.
The cost of drying each ton of grain is estimated to be between 0.02 and 0.035 yuan, which is much lower than traditional methods. As a result, the company expects to save approximately 100,000 yuan annually in drying costs. Moreover, by utilizing crop stalks that would otherwise be burned or discarded, the dryer contributes to environmental protection and resource recycling.
This innovation is especially important for Shangyu City, where a large amount of crop residue is produced every year. Traditionally, most of these stalks are either burned or left unused, causing pollution and wasted potential. Now, with this new technology, the city is taking a step toward sustainable agriculture and efficient resource management. The introduction of the dryer marks a positive shift in how local farmers and food producers approach grain processing and waste reduction.
