Algoma ordered three 740-foot long self-unloading bulk carriers

Canada's dry cargo and cargo carrier ship owner and operator Algoma has signed a construction contract with the Croatian shipyard Uljanik Group to build three 740-foot Seaway Max self-unloading bulk carriers for the company's Great Lakes region of the United States - St. Lawrence Dry bulk fleet of waters.

Algoma signed a contract with the troubled Nantong Mingde Heavy Industry to build the three ships, but the contract was cancelled earlier this year.

As early as April this year, Algoma commissioned the Uljanik shipyard to build two Equinox-class 650-foot long self-unloading bulk carriers.

Ken Bloch Soerensen, President and CEO of Algoma, said: "Our good experience with the Uljanik Group in the Equinox 650-foot project has given us confidence in the timely delivery of high-quality ships to the shipyard. Due to funding problems at Mingde Heavy Industries, Our Equinox project has undergone a serious delay in delivery."

It is reported that the new Seaway Max has a total length of 225.55 meters (740 feet) and a width of 23.77 meters (78 feet). It can transport 29,300 tons of cargo when the maximum channel is draught, and the ship is equipped with exhaust gas scrubber technology. The first ship is expected to be delivered in early 2018 and the remaining ships will be delivered by the end of 2018.

Elevator Motor iron core is one of the most important parts of elevator traction motor

The traction motor of the elevator is only the rotor short circuit, the end ring resistance is larger, which is conducive to heat distribution directly, and the comprehensive effect makes the temperature rise of the motor decrease. And ensure sufficient starting torque, generally about 2.5 times the rated torque.
