On the morning of October 30, the Qilu Petrochemical Ethylene Plant's 201 cracking gas compressor initiated its second online speed increase as planned, drawing close attention from leaders of Qilu Company, the Olefins Factory, and industry experts. After nearly an hour of careful commissioning, the compressor's speed was increased by 254 rpm, while the inlet pressure dropped from 62 kPa to 41 kPa and gradually stabilized. The adjustment parameters closely matched the expected values, marking a successful phase of the project.
This online speed-up initiative for imported cracking gas compressors represents a significant independent innovation by the technical team at the Olefins Plant. It first achieved a successful speed increase in early 2006, which led to an increase in ethylene production by over 30,000 tons that same year, generating direct economic benefits of 36 million yuan. In October of this year, the project was awarded the first prize for outstanding achievements by employees in Shandong Province, recognizing its remarkable contributions.
Successfully completing the online speed increase of the cracking gas compressor is a major milestone for the plant.
