I just got back from covering the major fire that broke out on August 27, 2014, at 6308 S. Halsted Street in Chicago. The 3-11 Alarm call came in and it was quite an intense scene. I managed to snap some photos while I was there, and I wanted to share them with you all.
The first image shows a smoky fire scene with a fire engine in action. It was chaotic yet fascinating to see how quickly the firefighters responded and worked to control the situation. This shot was captured by my friend Tim Olk, who has an incredible eye for detail when it comes to documenting emergency situations.
