Flyability User Conference Webinar Series—Spring 2020

In March 2020, the Flyability team was excited to host our first U.S. user conference in Denver, Colorado, to mark the opening of our first office in the country. Unfortunately, due to the ongoing concerns around the spread of COVID-19, we had to cancel the event. But instead of letting it go completely, we're bringing the conference experience directly to you through a series of live and recorded webinars starting on Thursday, April 9, and continuing throughout May. The original 2020 User Conference was set to feature an impressive lineup of industry experts discussing the use of indoor UAS (Unmanned Aerial Systems) for inspections across multiple sectors, including Chemicals, Oil & Gas, Power Generation, and Mining. We had over 200 registrations and were thrilled to have speakers from leading drone companies like DJI and Pix4D, as well as representatives from organizations such as API and ASME, and program leaders at companies like Chevron and Duke Energy. While we couldn’t hold the event in person, we’re making sure the content and insights are still available to you. The webinar series will feature keynote presentations from the same experts who were originally scheduled to speak at the conference. Here’s what's coming up: **April 9 – The Future of Drone Inspections** Join Luis Pulgarin from ASME and Suzanne Lemieux from API as they discuss how drone inspection standards are evolving and expanding into new industries. **April 14 – Country-of-Origin Drone Bans and Their Impact** Jordan Gross and Romeo Durscher from DJI will explore how drone import restrictions affect U.S. businesses, especially those in public safety and emergency response. **April 21 – 3D Modeling with Indoor Drones** Andrew McIntyre from Pix4D and Marc Gandillon from Flyability will show how indoor drones are being used for advanced 3D modeling and mapping applications. **April 22 – Building and Scaling a Drone Program** Calvin Rieb from Cargill and James Manni from TVA will share their experiences in creating and growing successful drone programs within large organizations. **April 28 – Drones in Oil & Gas** Larry Barnard and Mauricio Calva from Chevron will explain how drones are improving safety, reducing downtime, and saving costs in the energy sector. **April 30 – Indoor 3D Modeling Use Cases** Laurie McBean and Gregory Spirlet will demonstrate real-world examples of photogrammetry and 3D modeling using indoor drones. **May 14 – Drones in Power Generation** Chris Place from Exelon Clearsight and Marc Gandillon from Flyability will discuss how drones are transforming power plant inspections. **May 20 – Safer Confined Spaces Inspections** Alexandre Meldem from Flyability will share best practices for using drones in challenging, confined environments. We had a full schedule of twelve keynotes planned, so more webinars are on the way. Topics like indoor drone use in mining and chemicals will be announced soon. Stay tuned and check back regularly for updates. Don’t miss your chance to learn from the experts—register now and save your seat!
