The formation of a certain shadowing effect on the surface of the soil, locally lowering the surface temperature, and thus reducing the evaporation of surface soil moisture, so the soil moisture analyzer analysis in the 0 ~ 10cm soil layer, vegetation height has a positive and significant effect on soil moisture. In the 10-20 cm soil layer, the degree of absorption and utilization of soil moisture is stronger, which results in a highly significant negative correlation between soil moisture in the 10-20 cm soil layer and the foul grass cover in Gansu.
