Willow Springs FD/Tri-State FPD update

I just drove by the old Willow Springs Firehouse, which is now part of Tri-State. I couldn’t help but stop and take some photos while I was there. One thing that caught my eye was the big Tri-State logo painted on the side of the building—it’s hard to miss! There were also a couple of former Willow Springs SUVs parked outside, looking a bit nostalgic sitting there. Unfortunately, the Chevy pickup truck that used to be here, possibly a brush unit, seems to have been removed recently. On a brighter note, I noticed one of the newer police vehicles nearby. It’s got the same color scheme and design as the old Willow Springs Fire trucks, which is pretty cool. It feels like they’re keeping some tradition alive even as things change. I’ve included a few photos I took while I was there. The first one shows the Tri-State sign clearly, and you can see those old SUVs in front of the station. In another shot, you’ll notice how the architecture hasn’t changed much over the years, though the purpose of the building certainly has. And finally, there’s an image of that new police vehicle with the familiar Willow Springs design. It’s kind of funny how these little details stick around, even when everything else evolves. Anyway, hope this gives you a good sense of what’s happening at the old firehouse these days. Let me know if you want to hear more about it! ![Martin Nowak Photo](image_link_placeholder) ![Martin Nowak Photo](image_link_placeholder) ![Martin Nowak Photo](image_link_placeholder) ![Martin Nowak Photo](image_link_placeholder)
