Around 0715 hours, a call for a still and box alarm went out. The fire department responded quickly, with Engine Company 54 taking charge of dousing the intense flames primarily on the second floor. By the time other companies arrived, the fire had already spread to the third floor and was causing significant damage to the structure's front facade. The firefighters worked efficiently, using a Rapid Attack Module (RAM) and multiple hand lines from the outside to get the situation under control relatively fast. Although a tower ladder and a snorkel were set up, Eric mentioned that they weren't actually utilized during the operation.
