Although this market has just started in recent years, there is great potential for domestic demand, and the sales of urea for vehicles are growing rapidly.

Research shows that automobile exhaust emissions account for about 30% of the country's total PM2.5 pollutants, which is one of the “crimes” that cause haze in China. Among them, the exhaust pollution from heavy-duty diesel vehicles is as high as two-thirds or more. The data shows that the nitrogen oxides and PM pollutants emitted by diesel vehicles, which only account for 17% of China's vehicle ownership, account for 60% and 90% of the total vehicle emissions. To this end, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced that from 2015 onwards, vehicle diesel will fully implement the national IV standard.

It is understood that most of the current National IV standard diesel vehicles are using SCR engine technology, this technology needs to add vehicle AdBlue, which is commonly known as urea solution, it is a selective catalytic nitrogen oxide reduction agent, It is a 32.5% ultra-purity car urea and pure water synthesis. After the diesel vehicle “drinks” this urea, the nitrogen oxides in the exhaust emissions can be decomposed into non-polluting nitrogen and water vapor, which can directly reduce haze pollution and meet the national IV emission standards for PM and nitrogen oxides. limits. At the same time, the Chinese IV engine adopting this technology has good fuel economy, small changes to the engine, low requirements for fuel and oil, and has advantages in continuity of technology upgrades. Therefore, the SCR technology is the most suitable for the reduction of heavy diesel vehicles in China. Row of technical routes. At present, most domestic medium and heavy-duty trucks, buses and buses use the SCR technology route to meet the requirements of the National IV emission standard. Therefore, the urea needed for the SCR system becomes equivalent to diesel and has a promising market.

In 2011, the consumption of urea in vehicles in China was around 11,000 tons, which only accounted for 1% of the consumption of urea solutions for vehicles in the world. Because the National IV standard has not yet been enforced nationwide, only Beijing, Shanghai and other places have used SCR technology in the public transportation system pilots, leading to the urea market for vehicles not yet opened. However, with the full promotion of the diesel IV standard, the demand for vehicle urea is rapidly increasing and it is expected to reach 4 million to 7 million tons in 2015.

On the other hand, from the point of view of the number of diesel vehicles, market demand will also achieve rapid growth. In 2011, the sales of domestic heavy-duty diesel vehicles totaled 880,600. In 2012, they sold 636,000 vehicles. In 2013, they sold 750,000 to 76 million vehicles. Relevant professionals predict that heavy-duty diesel vehicles equipped with SCR systems will grow at a rate of at least 500,000 vehicles a year. By the end of 2015, the number of vehicles of State IV diesel vehicles is expected to reach 1.25 million in theory. By the end of 2017, it could theoretically reach 2.25 million. Vehicle. According to the calculation of diesel vehicle production, it is estimated that by 2018 China's vehicle urea market capacity will reach 7 million tons. Therefore, the sharp increase in the market size of automotive urea will become a general trend.
