In 2008, Megana RS created the fastest lap time of the Nürburgring North Ring front, which proves that the front-wheel drive can also have the performance of the comparable GT sports car. In May 2014, Megane RS returned to the track and refreshed the fastest lap of the Nurburgring North Ring by 7'54''36, continuing the legendary story of Megane RS. Today, the "predecessor king" Megane RS officially landed in the Chinese market, of which the street version sold 339,900 yuan, the game version was 359,900 yuan.
In terms of power, the Megane RS is equipped with Renault's powerful 2.0-liter turbocharged engine with a peak power of 265 hp (195 kW) and a peak torque of 360 Nm. Compared to the common 2.0T engine, Megan RS's engine has obvious advantages and is called "steel gun power." The front axle limited slip differential and high performance damping system allow the Megane RS to always maintain the body posture during extreme sports.

With 15 sensors throughout the vehicle, RS Monitor 2.0 provides all the parameters of turbine pressure, torque, power output curve, and GG map (longitudinal and lateral acceleration) to the driver.
