On July 17, 2014, WN20, a new energy powertrain independently developed by Weichai , successfully completed a 2,400-kilometer road test. The team set off from Weifang, Shandong Province on June 26, 2014 and ended in Hangzhou. It spanned Shandong, Jiangsu, and Zhejiang provinces. It experienced urban conditions, high-speed working conditions, and a variety of climatic conditions such as sunny, dry, wet, rainy, and a round trip 2400. More than kilometers, which lasted 7 days.

The vehicles participating in this road test include 3 new energy buses and 2 new energy sanitation vehicles. Among them, one bus and two sanitation vehicles carry the WN20 system independently developed by New Energy, and the other two buses are the standard vehicles for the international advanced hybrid power system. The engineers of the new energy control and calibration team collected data and analyzed the data.
