This just came in from Tim Olk. He sent over some images of a basement fire that broke out on 5841 South Peoria Street. The situation seemed intense, and it’s always good to see how firefighters handle these kinds of scenarios.
Here’s what he had to say about the incident:
> “There was quite a bit of smoke when we arrived. It took some time to fully assess the situation and get everything under control.â€
Attached are several photos that Tim captured during the event. As you can see, the firefighters were fully geared up and ready to tackle the blaze. The first few images show the initial response, with trucks arriving on the scene and the team preparing their equipment. The following set of pictures capture the intensity of the fire as it was being brought under control.
In the next set of images, you’ll notice the firefighters in action during the overhaul phase. This is when they ensure that all remaining embers are extinguished and there’s no risk of reignition.
