Deputy Secretary-General Hu Qianlin, who is in charge of scientific and technological work at the Petrochemical Association, introduced that in recent years the overall technical level of China's petroleum and chemical industries has been significantly improved, but there are still serious shortcomings in supporting the development of the industry. The concrete manifestations are the basic research of the industry and the development of common technologies. The power is not enough, the project's ability to transform the results is weak, new product development has not really escaped from tracking imitation, energy-saving environmental protection technology development is lagging behind, and the level of equipment and automation are still low. At present, technology needs to be supported as it optimizes product structure, promotes industrial upgrading, and breaks through resource constraints.
It is understood that the "10+2" key areas identified in the "Opinions" include 10 major industries and two public areas. Among them, the top 10 industries are oil and gas exploration and development, petroleum refining, petrochemicals, chemical fertilizers, pesticides, rubber processing, new coal chemical industry, chlor-alkali, chemical new materials, and fine chemicals. The two public sectors are chemical equipment and environmental protection. The 130 supporting technologies identified in turn fall into two broad categories, including 58 advanced and mature technologies that need to be vigorously promoted, and 72 technologies that need to be developed with large industrial correlation, good market prospects, and are not yet perfect.
